Researchers used AI to control plasma hotter than the Sun.

Controlling plasma is key to fusion research. In the Sun, gravity pulls matter together. That keeps plasma in form. In the Sun. Gravity pulls matter into the Sun’s core. And that forms incredible pressure. On Earth, researchers must compensate for that pressure. By. Rising temperature in the plasma. Powerful magnets push that plasma together. And then the system should ignite fusion. 

The system doesn’t use neutral atoms. It uses ionized gas. That brings other challenges into fusion tests. 

Another problem is that when the energy level in the center of the plasma rises too high. Magnets cannot keep the plasma in its form. When fusion should ignite, the temperature or energy travels out from the center of the plasma beam. Deuterium and tritium atoms are pushed away. This destroys the plasma structure. The thing. What makes this structure more complicated is that. 

The atoms in the plasma are ionized. This means negative charges push that structure together. The electromagnetic repulsion pushes ions out. When ions come closer together. The electromagnetic force pushes ions away. Turns stronger. 

If. A so-called monopolar magnetic structure is possible. That could pull ions together. The proton beam through the fusion point could make an electromagnetic pulling effect. That helps to keep the plasma. 

In its form. Another way is to shoot a laser beam through the fusion chamber. This helps to aim the energy flow in the right direction. 

The solution can be in the plasma; there, the outer shell is hotter. The energy presses. That plasma together more strongly. Another solution is to shoot anions through the fusion point. That decreases the temperature or creates the pulling quantum point in the middle of the fusion structure. One of the solutions. Can be iron. Iron is the lowest-energy element on Earth. That means it could be used. Stabilize energy flow from the plasma structure’s shell. 

Into the point where fusion happens. Then the system must conduct energy out from the fusion point. By aiming the main energy flow out from that plasma. By following that direction, the energy will not reflect back to the plasma’s shell. 

The problem is not the temperature. The problem is. How to control temperature. Energy flows in the fusion plasma are very complicated. The system must keep the energy flowing into the center of the plasma stable. It reflects from the fusion point. That destroys the plasma structure.
