Many of the superstars were superstars because they were the only ones. There were no options. We can find the answer to that question in history. The AI may not stifle human creativity. But it does make it easier to create high-quality images. If we want to compare AI with something, we should think about the music industry. In the 1960s and 1970s, when the Beatles and Elvis were something special. We must realize that the Beatles and Elvis were almost the only rock bands. And rock artists are sold in supermarkets. Because Elvis and the Beatles were the only ones, they were special.
The Internet caused. A situation where there were more than just a couple of options. In the sector of the creative arts. The AI causes a situation. There are more. And more high-quality graphics and other arts on the net. This means that today, the Beatles and Elvis could be “just” artists. But what if somebody just cannot sing? What if someone will not publish the poem that someone wrote?
Does that make the writer less creative? When we look back at the golden age of the Beatles and Elvis, we can ask one question: how many good bands died? Because. Their music just didn’t please people? Who selected the studio artists? And gave an opportunity to make a record of their music? In the 1960s and 1970s, record companies desired. What they wanted to offer.
And then we can ask: What creativity is? What creativity require?. Does creativity mean the ability to make paintings like Leonardo da Vinci? Or does that mean that we make things spontaneously without orders?
Or what if we just stand behind the painter’s back and give orders on what that product must look like? Or, are we less creative if we don’t have time or opportunity to practice painting, and that’s why we cannot make paintings? We can always ask: what happens if Leonardo da Vinci had a painting program? Or what Leonardo can use with the AI? AI is a tool. That allows people to create many things. That took hours and years before the AI.
