The company wants to send a 100,000-satellite data constellation.

Orbital data centers are a thing. That causes discussions. But the orbital data centers. They are a response to problems with data centers’ power supply. If we think about the economic aspect. There is a point about the price of electricity. Their position in orbit trajectory. It turns out to be cheaper. Than the position on Earth. Data centers can cause energy crises. The answer to that problem. It can be their own power plant, like a small nuclear reactor. In some other solutions. The data center. That uses cloud-based architecture. It can equip all computers with the RTG (Radioisotope Thermoelectric Generator).

Sending data satellites to orbit is not more difficult. Than sending communication satellites to the same trajectories. There are discussions about things like repair. Of those malfunctioning satellites. The satellite. It can be equipped with a heat shield and parachutes. Same way as in cases like the malfunction of the communication satellites. Those microcircuits will not change. The satellite. It will be returned to Earth by using parachutes or in the space shuttle cargo bay.

That thing removes space junk. And that will be an answer for data security issues. Normally, satellites are driven into the atmosphere. There they land near Point Nemo. The problem is that. Deep-sea rescue units can pick up those satellites. And then find maybe some kind of critical information. That information contains the oscillation circuits from the satellite microchips. The ability to make a soft landing for those satellites allows researchers to investigate things. Like micrometeor damage. That also covers the hard drives and communication systems of those satellites. If those things go into the wrong hands. That can make it possible to create systems that can jam those satellites.

If all computers have independent nuclear batteries. They will become energy independent. There is also the possibility of using renewable energy. Like solar power or geothermal generators. The geothermal generator is a ground-source heat pump well. There, the tubes are filled with gas or liquid that expands so strongly that it can rotate the turbine wheel. That rotates the generator. In the high orbiter, the data satellite. It can use solar panels to create electricity.

Those systems allow control of other satellites. By using AI. This kind of data center at a high orbit could be immune to the plasma jammers. The plasma jammer is the system that delivers plasma between satellites and their ground stations. This kind of system allows the satellites to continue their operations. Even if the connection between them and the ground station is cut. Satellite data centers can also assist the moonbases.

The satellite-based supercomputer is easier to make. than establishing a data center on the Moon. The data center could also be the landing crafts. That carry supercomputers. But there is a possibility. To send those data satellites on a trajectory that orbits Earth and the Moon. The relay satellite keeps contact with the satellite swarm. It can be at the point between Earth and the Moon; there. Their gravitation. Anchors that satellite into a stable position. The communication system. It must only know the position of that relay satellite. That keeps contact with the orbital data center.

The moonbases. They can act as a laboratory. There, samples from other planets will be taken. If we think about the possibility of establishing bases on other planets, we must be sure. That there are no other lifeforms.

The lifeform can travel between planets. And there, in an isolated environment, the microbe. It can be degenerate. There is a theory that Earth itself can deliver microbes to Venus, and probably. Also to Mars. The bacteria cannot live on the surface of Venus. But it can hover in Venus’ clouds.

Another thing is that. Those systems. They can also make it possible. To test the cloud-based data architecture. The next-generation space probes that travel to outer solar systems and beyond could be swarms of smaller probes. That guarantees. The success of the mission. Even if one of those probes is damaged or destroyed. There is a possibility. That AI-controlled drone swarms can research Venus and Jupiter.

The small-sized RTG (Radioisotope thermoelectric generator. Called nuclear batteries, allow small quadcopters to operate virtually unlimited time. These kinds of systems can research planets like Venus and Jupiter. But they can also operate in the deep seas. And they can act in challenging intelligence operations.

The orbital data centers are the next question. If we want to build bases on Mars and beyond. It requires highly advanced automation. The base will be built using robots. And the algorithms that those robots require. They need lots of computer power. In the same way, if we want to send colonists there. Those people might get sick or be injured. And even the best doctors don’t know everything. The AI can support those people at work. But before anything is sent to Mars. That technology must be tested. If we want to send probes to the outer solar system.

Their control signal travels from Jupiter to Earth in about 8 minutes. And 25 seconds. That is a very long time to control things like rovers on the surface of its moons. The probes themselves can travel to Jupiter and Saturn and use quite traditional control codes. But when some probe operates on Titan or some of Jupiter’s moons. Something surprising can happen. The sudden earthquakes on those icy moons. They can be far stronger than on Earth. There, the low gravity doesn’t  hold back those things.

And there, rovers must react very fast. So, before anything goes interstellar, we must conquer the entire solar system. Before we send colonists and establish any bases. We must be sure. That the places those bases will be established are safe. The Mars base is not like the ISS. There is no straight way to return. If. There is something that happens. The journey to Earth takes a long time. And if the astronaut is injured. Or has some kind of infection. Even. 30-60 days in a closed spacecraft. Using some futuristic plasma engines feels eternal.

The Pentagon and SpaceX cooperation goes deeper.

Image: TWZ

The Pentagon and SpaceX cooperation goes deeper. When new deals are made with satellite-based early warning networks and the LUCAS Kamikaze-drone connection with Starlink. Will be turned. Into reality. That is the next step. To the Starlink and Pentagon cooperation. These types of plans also accelerate the militarization of space. The systems that track. Own troops. And guiding smart weapons. Are. Vital for successful military operations. That makes them high-potential targets for anti-satellite systems, ASATs. If those satellites can be shot down. That decreases the enemy's ability to control and command warfare.

This means that those satellites must be equipped with self-defense systems. And those active systems can also be used to destroy other satellites.

But the price is that. If the deliverer of the service. Shuts it down. So, there is no service. These kinds of deals raise the power. Of the private industry at the Pentagon. Those contracts. They fall into the hands of well-known, trusted service providers. That increases SpaceX's power in space.

The Pentagon’s dependence on SpaceX continues to grow. The Pentagon awarded. A $4B contract with SpaceX to create a satellite network. The purpose of that network is to track aircraft and hypersonic missiles from space. The system should include the optical and radar systems, boosted with AI. The system can track any aircraft. From the atmosphere with a very high accuracy and speed. The system should replace the old E-3 Sentry AEW&C aircraft. The E-3 plays a vital role in tracking low-flying objects. But things like anti-radiation missiles can endanger that aircraft’s missions.

It’s possible that things like drones with the lookdown radars and optical sensor packs can replace the E-3. And those systems can share information with the fighters, ships, and ground units. And connect sea, land, and airborne command posts to networks. That communicates. In real-time. With  the overseas military command centers.

Image: TWZ

In the same way. Those E-3 “Sentrys” are not. A very good tool for tracking very high-altitude hypersonic missiles. That travels in the high atmosphere. This is the reason why a new global system is needed. That can get and share.

Mission-critical information for AA and aircraft to destroy incoming hypersonic missiles. And this is the reason. A new satellite-based system is needed. The satellite network with optical sensors can replace the traditional GPS. The aircraft can send. The location information is transmitted to those optical satellites. Using laser rays. And then those satellites send the image. Of the flying area. The aircraft travels back to that aircraft using lasers. The laser dot shows the stealth fighter's position to the satellites. Those satellites will use AI and hivemind technology. For tracking and following targets.

Another thing that is interesting. It is the connection between the Starlink systems. With LUCAS kamikaze drones. The Starlink satellite communication platform can replace the GPS. The system requires a map. It can connect with Starlink’s location information. Starlink uses a similar technology. To GPS. For tracking the transmitting modems. This makes it possible to control drones and other systems. Like the smart bombs to target with the GPS. This kind of technology. Created originally for the Ukraine war makes the GPS unnecessary. These kinds of systems are maybe planned to be used by the Pentagon to protect the GPS system for the nuclear weapon’s core operations.

When the GPS is used. With a large-scale conventional weapon guidance, it’s possible that the opponent gets its frequencies. And that can mean that in the case of nuclear war. The enemy might know. The frequencies of the GPS. And tries to jam them. When some systems are used all the time. There is a possibility. That the enemy knows its details. There is a possibility that the enemy even tries to spoof the location information. And even tries to aim weapons at the opponent’s own targets. This means that the submarine can fire on its own cities. And this is one of the reasons why nuclear weapon control must be separated from other weapons.

Two Russian satellites flew 10 ft (3m) apart.

Space.com tells that “The satellites, known as COSMOS 2581 and COSMOS 2583, got within just 10 feet (3 meters) or so of each other on April 28, according to COMSPOC, a Pennsylvania-based space situational awareness software company.” (Space.com). This means there is something going on in Orbiter. These kinds of maneuvers require very high accuracy. And there can be a couple of very considerable things that this kind of maneuver can mean. Russia is at war in Ukraine. That war doesn’t go well. So, those satellite tests must have some high-priority aspect. Because Russia needs spy satellites rather than make tests with that kind of satellite couple. There are three reasons why those tests are made.

1) The Russians test technology that can be used to “wake up” the sleeping satellites. There is a possibility that some of those satellites are nuclear weapons that are hidden in space. Those fractional orbital bombardment systems, FOBS, can hide in a high trajectory. This scenario is based on a model. Some Soviet sea-observing radar satellites carried nuclear reactors. One of those satellites was COSMOS 954. The satellite dropped in Canada. On the ice of a frozen lake.

Normally, those nuclear-powered satellites. Or their nuclear reactors were sent to high orbit. When their mission was over. Those nuclear reactors involved high radioactive material. It’s possible that the radiation from those nuclear reactors could cover the radioactive glow of the nuclear weapons. This means that another satellite could come close to those sleeping weapons, and then wake them up. In this scenario. The FOBS is a so-called silent satellite that plays some kind of space junk.

The FOBS can be like a satellite that falls to the ground and detonates its warheads at the right altitude. Another version is the cannon-type system. Which pushes nuclear grenades into the atmosphere. The system can use roll-shaped drivers. Or some kind of explosives to drive those weapons to attack. The ability to return those warheads for repair and condition checks is very important. So maybe Russians simulate the warhead transfer in that operation.

“COSMOS-954 satellite artist rendition. Note: The image is a pure fantasy depiction and has nothing in common with the real COSMOS-954 Radar Ocean Reconnaissance Satellite, RORSAT, and should not be used to illustrate articles on Cosmos-954 or RORSAT” (Wikipedia, Cosmos-954)

2) Russian plans to capture other satellites. This means that the satellite. It has a mission to capture some targeted satellites. Flies to the targeted satellite. And then it can put the net over the satellite. And pull that satellite with it.

3) The satellite can exchange data with other satellites using the long “USB”-type system.  Data transmission can also happen by using lasers.  That allows it to change the programs of other satellites. These kinds of satellites can activate the secretive systems in other satellites. And they can also act as training tools for something bigger.

If a satellite can fly very close to another satellite, it can capture that other satellite’s data transmissions. These kinds of systems can also download some information. Which is too risky to send over the radio waves. Some of those activation codes. It can also be meant for the Russian missile submarines.

The satellite will get the launch code. And then the ground station sends the signal “launch” to those satellites. Then the satellite sends the recorded launching codes to missile subs. Or in the worst scenario, there could be hidden nuclear weapons in foreign territory or deep on the bottom of the ocean. This means that those satellites can send the launch codes also for those hidden nuclear weapons. The 50-100mt nuclear weapon. That launched on the ocean floor can cause a devastating tsunami.

So,if Russians want to activate their killer satellites or FOBS systems, they can load. That activation code. To the satellite on the ground. Then that satellite transfers the action code to other satellites. The nuclear-armed killer satellites can also act as EMP weapons.
