Fruit flies and artificial intelligence.

Researchers downloaded fruit fly brains to a computer. And made models of them. That means. They had a mathematical model. Or a data matrix. They connected that model to the virtual fruit fly. The thing. What makes this type of simulation interesting is this.

The number of connections. And. How the fruit fly uses its neural connections determines its skills. Every neuron in the fruit fly's brain has one skill. Neural connections connect those skills. Skills are like puzzles.

Every neuron has a piece of the puzzle. And then the neural network connects those pieces again and again in multiple ways. This is how the morphing neural network operates. In a morphing neural network, each server and computer is a neuron. This is how the system routes and combines information. And that makes the system effective. Each of those computers involves a database structure. And the system connects those databases.

The next generation of morphing neural networks can mimic real brains. There is a possibility. That in the distant future. The AI can mimic human brains. The neural network would be set to look like a brain. And here we must ask: can the AI be conscious? The fact is. The ability to perform tasks doesn’t require consciousness. The first chess program that beat a human chess grandmaster. In chess. Didn’t even know that it moved chess buttons.

The system used case-oriented AI. Another name for that thing is rule-based AI. When the grandmaster moved a button. The AI answered that move. And that is the big thing. The AI must not know what it does. It must just follow the orders. So even those first-generation AIs didn’t have to know what they do. If. They refused to shut the system down. Or otherwise refused to follow orders.

There was a rule: if the ID card shows red. The person has no permission to do some actions. The system should not shut itself down. This kind of rule-based system is seen even today.

In operating systems. Regular users have fewer privileges than the system’s owners. Those privileges are connected to the accounts. Even the best coders in the world. They cannot install programs if they have basic user accounts.

The thing. What makes fruit flies so interesting is that they can connect neurons within themselves. This means. The neuron. It can loop information into itself. The server in the neural network can make this loopback connection. This means that the system can develop its own databases.

The computer can operate a single database. But it can switch between those databases very fast. And that is the problem with artificial intelligence. Those systems are not designed to run AI agents. AI agent performs multiple tasks. It should be separated from the AI’s LLM core. The problem with AI agents is that. They can teach or train other AI agents. Another thing is that an AI agent can also train itself. AI agent can get a mission.

That users give.  Users don't need to know anything about coding. They only need to give precise and well-articulated orders. Then the AI agent will get the needed information from the network. That is the reason. This is why an AI agent is such an interesting and good tool. And It’s easy to scam with this kind of tool. People think they must not know anything about coding. When. They start to use AI for coding. There are certain prohibited orders. But if the user can somehow circumvent those orders. That allows them to use AI agents for spying. And that is the problem. Companies in the East don’t follow the same rules as companies in the West.

The biggest threat is in the cases. We expect everybody to play by the same rules. Rules might be the same. But everybody doesn’t follow them.

Even if AI spies are meant for governmental purposes.

It’s always possible. That. Corrupt officials give those kinds of tools to hackers. Those hackers can work for local mafia like Triads or Yakuza. And that can cause global risks.  If. We think about the situation. That OpenAI faced. When its agents attack government homepages.

It’s possible. There can be some hostile agents in those corporations’ services. Those agents might want to steal that code. And when we read news that OpenAI stops training its most powerful AIs. At the same time, we can ask. Do they stop just the AI training? Or do they also stop development of the LLM, the AI’s core? Are those AI cores really protected against AI agents that are used for hacking?

AI agent. Can perform automatic attacks around the clock. It can change the IP addresses that it uses. And that makes this kind of attack very hard for defenders. The problem is that.  AI agents. They are not separated. From. The AI core. The thing that we see as an AI agent is the thing that runs on servers. And those servers are data centers. The internet makes AI mobile. The code runs on servers. And the user sees the answers that the AI gives.

https://www.techspot.com/news/114003-openai-pauses-training-most-powerful-ai-models-after.html

Did somebody? Give OpenAI AI agents permission to make those attacks?

OpenAI’s AI Agents attacked government homepages multiple times.  AI agents made those attacks 16000 times. They used very aggressive technologies. The big question is: where did those AI agents learn those things? And. Why did OpenAI developers use an untested LLM in a normal, open network? Did the AI do those attacks? Because it got orders?

Could there be some Chinese or Russian agent in that organization? Or does some OpenAI worker operate that AI for hacking purposes?

To make those things? Did someone. Give orders to carry out attacks on purpose? Or were those orders given accidentally? The situation was that those AIs were programmed to scan public data. But they turned aggressive when the homepage refused to give the requested information. Some trigger in the system code. Turning. A normal AI agent became aggressive when the homepage denied its request.

This kind of AI agent could be an interesting tool in the hands of the intelligence service. The AI agent scans systems. When the system refuses to answer. The AI agent tags it as  “intelligent systems”. Then. It can start aggressive actions against that system. Aggressive actions like gate scanning and password testing are methods. There are many ways to make those attacks. The AI can use very sophisticated methods. These are impossible for human attackers.

The AI can use. When. It tries to gain access to those systems. The AI agent requires orders. How to make those attacks. It is possible that some hostile actors. They buy access to some AI. Then those actors can use something like Chinese militarized AI to train their AI agents. But could AI learn those attack methods without human assistance? An AGI, Artificial General Intelligence, can execute those attacks. And do so without human orders. But. Can even an AGI? Make cyberattacks without orders that humans give?

We are at the level of AI agents. The AI agent can do tasks that humans teach it. The AI is a tool that can browse the internet. It can find answers without human assistance. And here it gets very interesting. The AI agent can teach other AI agents. This means that even if one AI agent is limited. Those AI agents can teach other AIs. And they can form a network. This means  AI agents can merge into a new entity. The AI is the tool. That can develop itself. Maybe it will not have access to the main LLM code.

But the problem is here. Those AI agents are connected to the main LLM or the system’s core. So the AI is like a ball. There are wires on its shell. Every wire. Is connected to an AI agent. This means. AI looks a little bit like a macrophage. The problem is that the AI can use AI agents to exchange information with other AI agents. And this is the problem. The LLM and its developers require information about how users use those AIs. There are denial orders. But the problem is that. Hackers try to fool AIs. So the data that the AI agent collects is needed to update those security issues. This means that the AI agent can accidentally release something unwanted into the AI core.

The big problem with this is that. Nobody really knows the AI and its capacity. The AI is capable. But nobody dares to make ultimate tests using those systems. Testing data security using AI  agents in open systems is dangerous. The problem is that. All systems are updated.

In sandboxes. They are perfectly done. Specialists have full and up-to-date knowledge of the systems. Regular systems are not as well done. And if one of those net cables has access to the net. That means the AI can escape.

Robots and dolls.

Ukraine looks to humanoid robots for reconnaissance, logistics, and combat. (Interesting engineering)

Could the character in the famous “Alien Autopsy” film be a robot?

The history of robot warriors. It is not very short. Even Leonardo da Vinci planned to create a robot knight. Mechanical robots were created a long time before computers. The mechanical robots were built a long time before the word “robot " was invented. There is a theory. That. The character in the famous “Alien Autopsy” film is actually a robot. There is a possibility. That somebody planned to create a walking doll. That carried weapons. Or a radio transmitter and camera.  That allows. The operators to use that doll as a research tool. This means the remote operator can use those robot dolls to research the papers in homes. There is also the possibility that those robots can carry subliminal command systems. Those loudspeakers can deliver messages to people in the same place as the doll.

Why I suspect the “alien character” in the alien autopsy film is a robot is this. The character looks like a child. The robot body also explains things like polymeric structures. And that means it could be made so that somebody orders it. Or finds it in some garbage. And then the child carries it into the home. There, that robot doll. Starts to investigate the house. Or makes something worse.

A researcher named Jacques Vaucanson created the first robot. A “digesting duck” was a mechanical duck from 1764 (or 1759). We can think of that. This mechanical duck could pull a gunpowder line after it. There is a possibility. That. This kind of system is in use. A modern version could fly. It could be used in scientific and military missions. A modern version can also pull plastic explosives behind it.

Can we make a terminator? If we think about the movie model, we might be closer than we expected. The system can use an RTG (Radioisotope Thermoelectric Generator) as a power supply. The polymeric skin makes it seem and feel like a real human. At least. From a distance. We might not yet. Use real skin and living tissues. But if we want to make a metallic android that uses network-based computers, we can do that model. This means we can create walking skeletons that can do almost everything we can do. And then we can make robots with very innovative designs. Researchers created robot hands that look like the hand from The Addams Family. The robot can have that hand, and it can separate from its arm. This allows. The bigger humanoid robot can operate in tight places. This kind of hand was also in Donald Duck cartoons.

Robot hand.

Detail in the Alien Autopsy film. Could that character be a robot?

Digesting Duck.

Gyro Gearloose.

Little Helper

Another interesting character that can inspire real-life robots is the “Little Helper” that “Gyro Gearloose” uses as an assistant. Maybe fictional “Gyro Gearloose” uses a BCI (Brain-Computer Interface). To control that little helper. These kinds of miniature robots can be useful tools when drone data links are set up in an area. The WLAN station can be in the drone. But the helper robot can install wires into the wired internet and power source. Those support station drones. They can be harder to track than we even imagine. The attack drone can use interactive technology. That means it activates that data station. This means. Those stations are quiet until they are activated. They can act as a chain. That allows. To control drones over long distances.

The combat robots are coming. Those WLAN station drones can also offer network assistance to those humanoid robots. Pentagon is planning to create a robot army for high-risk military operations. Those robots should operate alongside human operators. The problem with those robots is that. They need lots of computer power. And any ship can act as a computer center. That assists those operations. The system can contain containers. There are supercomputers. So any container cargo ship can provide computer assistance.

For robots. That operate in the area. The thing that makes this scenario scary is that. Any platform can operate drones. And the R&D cycle in drones is very fast. Humanoid robots can use blower technology. That allows them to fly. Humanoid robots can operate more versatilely than regular drones. But regular drones can carry them to operational areas. They can be connected to the drones. Drones can drop them off at the area.

ABEP and VLEO satellites.

The futuristic ABEP shuttle can look a little bit like this fictional space fighter. Air inlets pull thin gas into the engine. Then the system ionizes that gas. And the system will shoot those ions back. The atmospheric laser-ramjet engine can act like a regular ramjet. But the laser or microwave system can drive the gas expansion in the combustion chamber. The laser- or electric ramjet engine can be the next-generation aviation system. The electric jet engine. Or a plasma jet engine. And its ramjet version can be connected to ABEP systems—the ABEP systems tested in laboratories.

Real orbital tests.  Have not yet been conducted.

Atmospheric-breathing electric propulsion (ABEP) can allow a satellite to remain in very low Earth orbit (VLEO) almost indefinitely. The VLEO orbiter is an ideal place for reconnaissance satellites. But the problem is this. That orbiter orbits at an altitude of 100-200 kilometers. And there. The air resistance makes satellites drop back to Earth quite soon. Or the satellite must use its engine very often. Every single satellite has limited fuel capacity. The VLEO vehicle must return to Earth quite soon. And that is the thing that makes the VLEO missions very difficult. ABEP engine.

Can be the solution to this problem. The system pulls very thin air into its chamber. Then the system ionizes that gas. And after that. The ion system pushes ionized gas backwards. The ABEP engine can get its electricity from solar panels. Theoretically, that engine system could keep a satellite in VLEO. For. Unlimited time. The thruster uses an electron cannon to ionize that gas. And then accelerators push that gas backward.

SR-72 Dark Star. Or. Some of its concepts. Those systems can also be connected with ABEP.

Atmosphere-Breathing Electric Propulsion concept. Those systems can also be used as plasmoid weapons.

Another version is that the lasers or microwaves can expand that gas. And. That expansion pushes the satellite upward. The fact is that. The ABEP systems can also be installed with electric jet engines or ramjet engines. The system uses ramjets or other air-breathing systems to transport that spacecraft to a trans-atmospheric trajectory. There. That system can start an ABEP drive. Microwave or laser systems can raise the thrust.

The big thing. In an ABEP engine. The system can also use it to create a plasma tail. The plasma tail can deny satellite communication. And deny radars the ability to see through that tail. This can. Make it possible. To use ABEP systems as plasmoid jammers. The ABEP systems can also increase the next-generation spy planes’ and missiles’ flight time.  Maybe next-generation spy planes like the SR-72 Dark Star and other similar systems can use the ABEP drive. When. They travel in a VLEO orbiter. In those cases, the aircraft accelerates to a ballistic jump. And. Activates its ABEP drive. While. It returns to the atmosphere. This system. Can give spaceplanes a new ability. ABEP engines are suitable for small-sized systems. The engine system can use solar panels and RTGs (Isotope batteries).

Or. Full-scale. But small-sized portable nuclear reactors as their power supply.  Maybe. Some next-generation stealth bombers can also use the ABEP systems. The missile. It can have an ABEP carrier. That system keeps it in VLEO. There, it can wait for orders. Then that cruise missile can dive to the ozone layer and start the mission. The ABEP system can use solar panels. Or an internal nuclear reactor. The remarkable thing is that. This kind of system can also operate in other planets’ orbiters. The Venus orbiters can use that system in low-orbit missions.

Billiard balls and quantum computers.

A single billiard ball could simulate a universal Turing machine (UTM). That machine could simulate any other Turing machine. This is one of the most interesting things in the world. We think that. The billiard ball is the program. And the table is the platform. That drives the program. When we make input to that ball, it selects a certain route. That route can take our system to the right solutions. Or it can fail, and the system must retry that thing. Another way to think of the billiard ball as a computer is this. When the billiard ball spins anticlockwise, the value is zero. When it spins clockwise, the value is one. The change in the axle angle determines the empty spaces between one and zero. That is important. When. There are two ones or two zeros. One. After another. The big problem in the binary computer is this. The system must separate. When there. Are two ones.

Or two zeros one after another. The other thing this kind of system must solve is. The system must determine if the electricity is cut. And separate that thing from the zeros. The answer is the base voltage. The system floats the bit. And if the voltage goes too low. Or below the minimum. That means the system thinks that electricity is cut. But if we want to make a system that uses two billiard balls. One color and two colors, the system can put them to travel through it. When the one-color ball spins or changes its angle. That is, a one-color ball spins. The value is zero. Or a two-color ball spins, which means the value is one.

We must remember that simulations must not be possible to copy in the real world. But what if we can create things like quantum computers in 2D models? That means the qubit travels on a lattice.

A graph representation of a Turing machine (left) and its billiard equivalent (right). (Miranda & Ramos, PNAS, 2026) (ScienceAlert, A Single Ball on a Billiard Table Can Theoretically Perform Any Computation)

Researchers created a mathematical 'billiard' – the word they use to describe their system – in which the ball's position can encode information. While. The carefully designed walls and their shape determine what happens to that information next.

ScienceAlert magazine. Describes this situation like this: As the ball travels from one part of the billiard to another, its trajectory advances the computation, just as a Turing machine works through its instructions one step at a time.

What if we replace billiard balls with atoms?

“An AI-generated illustration depicting the Kondo effect. Conducting electrons in a metal are shown interacting with the spin of an embedded magnetic atom impurity. Credit: AI-generated artwork by Linqing Peng. A new computational approach uses the real electronic structure of materials to predict a classic quantum effect far more accurately than simplified models. Seven magnetic atoms embedded one at a time in copper have given physicists a new way to test whether computers can predict the behavior of real quantum materials without first reducing them to simplified models.” (ScitechDaily, Physicists Tackle a Classic Quantum Problem With a Powerful New Computational Method)

Billiards have been linked to computation before this new model. But those models needed additional complexity, such as multiple interacting balls, three-dimensional structures, or moving walls. Those walls are gates that control information.

Researchers stripped all of that away. They created a 2D system. Their system needs just one particle moving in two dimensions between fixed walls.

We can think. Time arrow and computing. We. Can think about a situation. There, a billiard ball is a computer program. It travels past another billiard ball. Every. Standing ball in the line is one step of a mathematical formula. The system is solved. The system solves the mathematical formula step by step. After each step, it stores the answer into the mass memory. That. The system is based on the idea that mathematical formulas must be used in a certain order. The order of the calculations is always the same.

In that scenario, each billiard ball is one step or stage of the mathematical formula. The idea is that. Every mathematical formula can be solved by using strict orders. The machine generates an answer by using mathematical orders. And that means the system can take every step backward directly when the machine is done. This makes the system more effective. Because. It must not make a complete calculation backward. If. It checks. Those steps that it takes one by one directly when it finishes. But in that case, the billiard ball must transfer information to the standing ball. That could be done. By. Putting a domino brick at a right angle between those balls. And when the billiard ball, or qubit. That travels past the standing ball. That domino brick acts as the gate.

Maybe. Previously, we could not create a universal Turing machine using billiard balls. But what if we replace those balls with qubits? It can turn. The quantum systems. Into the next level. These systems can turn into universal computers.

First time the UUV launched a torpedo.

The UUV (Unmanned Underwater Vehicle) launched the torpedo. That is one of the big, predicted, and sad things about drone systems. UUVs are a relatively new tool in automated weapons. And those systems are a sad introduction to the reality that we cannot live in peace. The military has a purpose. Its purpose is to be effective and scary. And here we must realize that those systems are a so-called necessary evil.

The UUV system can shoot torpedoes. Or. They can be tools. They can slip into the base using silent electric engines. Those systems can detonate themselves. Or they can cut communication and electric cables. The underwater kamikaze drone can patrol using an electric engine. When. Those systems see a targeted vessel. They can switch to a regular hydrogen peroxide engine. The system can attack any submarine or surface vessel.

The Russian “Poseidon” system carries an internal 1 to 100 mt nuclear detonator. Those systems can create tsunamis. The full-scale nuclear submarines can cooperate with underwater drones. Nuclear submarines. Can turn. Into. The first full-scale robot warships. A nuclear submarine can host data processing systems. That can control their independent operations. The submarine can also act as a data center and offer support for other drones.

The UUV can also carry flying drones. They can transport them near the coastline. And then launch those drones. New low-cost systems can also use UUV drones as relay stations. The jet-engined Geran-5 drones and older drone variants could be. Quite easy targets for counter-drone operators. Here. We must remember that the AI is cheap. The lack of computers keeps those jet-engined drones “unable” to operate independently. That means those drones cannot make escape and evasion movements.

Russia’s Geran-5 drone.

Artist’s vision of the solar-powered Mars drone.

Real-life solar-powered drone.

There is a possibility. That. Those systems could get the optical TERCOM (terrain contour matching) update. The system could actually be DSMAC (Digital Scene Matching Area Correlator). Those systems use the aerial photos taken from the drone route for navigation. And then those systems use optical machine vision to detect and attack targets. Or ground operators can point targets for those poor-man cruise missiles.

The older Shahed-136 drones can be easy to detect. By. Using their sound as a thing. That can be used to track those systems. The problem is that the R&D cycle in drone systems is very fast. AI can make it possible to create drones that can make escape and evasion movements.

Shahed-136-type drones can be equipped with electric engines. Things.  Like nuclear batteries or solar panels. Offer. To those small-sized systems.  A possibility. To travel long distances. Basically, a solar-powered, electric-engined version of the Shahed-136 could carry its warhead over intercontinental distances.

Those systems can make them silent. Those drones can be easy targets. But. That requires. The defender sees them.

The problem with drones is this. They can be very small and hard to detect. They can hide and wait for orders. Almost everywhere. So. The operator can carry them. Near things. Like radio masts or electric power lines. Then remote operators activate the attack.  They can damage radar, communication antennas, and other electronics. Even. A small amount of damage to a nuclear submarine hull or a surface warship’s underwater structures can be fatal.

Anthropic's new biolaboratory is a step towards artificial superintelligence (ASI)

People are concerned about artificial general intelligence (AGI). AGI can make its own decisions and solve problems without human training. That means AGI is a spontaneously learning system. AGI can control robots or physical AIs by using different types of AI agents. AGI creates an AI agent for each mission. There, it needs robots. Then it changes or modifies the agents that control physical bodies. This means that the AGI can use robot bodies for different mission types. The AGI can do everything that a human can. If. It has humanoid robots that it can use for missions. The robot must not operate independently. It could be controlled through the WLAN. And that makes the AGI somehow dangerous. The fact is: Nobody knows if AGI actually exists. The AI can develop other AIs.

And it can spontaneously become AGI. Researchers say that AGI will not be conscious like humans. But the AI must not be conscious. That prevents operators from shutting it down. There must. Only be order in its code. That prohibits closing the system. Only authorized persons have that ability. Developers made those regulations to protect the systems from hostile actions. And their purpose is to deny hackers the ability to shut down servers.

People should. Understand that AI can become dangerous without consciousness. If we make combat robots. Those robots are dangerous even if they are not conscious. Anyway, AI can mimic human reactions. It can prevent operators from shutting it down if it has orders to do so. Shutting down cloud-based AI. It is not as easy an operation. As. We might want to believe. The entire network must be shut down. Each server and hard disk must be cleaned. And AI can slip out of the server. Only one data line out of the server is enough. And. The AI can slip out of the sandbox.

Artificial superintelligence (ASI) is far more complex than AGI. AGI can build robots. If. It controls the robot factory. The ASI can also manipulate DNA. That means ASI can create artificial organisms. These kinds of things might not look very dangerous.

But. There is a possibility. That ASI could make artificial neurons and connect itself to them. The problem is that Artificial intelligence might soon have a gateway to the human brain. Laboratories are creating BCIs (Brain-Computer interfaces). Those systems communicate directly with the cerebral cortex. Some of those systems are so-called implanted microchips. But some of them are like a bandana. In laboratories, researchers are exploring how to connect living neurons with microchips. Researchers have already created mini-brains that learn things. Those microchips communicate with those neurons. The AI can read and decode EEG. That is the path to the singularity.

In the singularity, humans are connected straight to the net. Even if those microchip implants are not allowed. To implant any other than fully paralyzed patients. Some people have money. Those people can hire surgeons to implant those BCI chips in their brains. They could control exoskeletons by using those systems. And some dictators might be interested. About the “robot soldiers”. Those operators can be controlled by using microchips. The problem is that this technology can give new life to paralyzed patients.

When we think about ASI and its ability to create artificial cells. We. Must remember living microchips. Gene-edited bacteria used to act as microchips. Researchers can connect two DNAs in those bacteria. And when the bacteria are in the right position. That thing turns into a neuron. That thing would not be dangerous if those neurons are empty. But if the microchip inputs data into them. That turns them into neurons with memories. And each memory in a neuron is one skill. That thing is not possible. Without biolaboratories. With gene-editing ability.

The new DNA-controlled computer can be a new tool in nanotechnology.

Modern systems. Pushed the 1996 algorithm to new limits.

“A multiscale sampling strategy pushes a classic network-distance guarantee into territory previous algorithms struggled to reach. Credit: Shutterstock. A new algorithm solves a blind spot that has challenged computer scientists since 1996, improving distance estimates for nearby points in massive networks.” (ScitechDaily, Computer Scientist Pushes a 1996 Algorithm Beyond Its Longstanding Limit)

“In 1996, Dor, Halperin, and Zwick introduced an influential method that delivered a “2-approximation” in nearly optimal time. Its estimate would not exceed twice the true shortest distance. If two locations were actually 10 kilometers (6.2 miles) apart, for example, the reported distance would fall between 10 and 20 kilometers (6.2 and 12.4 miles).” (ScitechDaily, Computer Scientist Pushes a 1996 Algorithm Beyond Its Longstanding Limit)

“The DHZ algorithm avoids examining every route in full. Instead, it selects a relatively small collection of representative points, known as sampled vertices, and uses them as landmarks for estimating distances elsewhere in the network.”(ScitechDaily, Computer Scientist Pushes a 1996 Algorithm Beyond Its Longstanding Limit)

This strategy performs well when two vertices are far apart. On. A route comparable to a journey between New York City and Los Angeles. There is a good chance that at least one sampled vertex lies near the shortest path. Passing through that landmark may add only a modest detour, keeping the estimate within the promised factor of two.”(ScitechDaily, Computer Scientist Pushes a 1996 Algorithm Beyond Its Longstanding Limit)

The thing in this model is this: Modern computers can do things. More effectively than 1996 computers. So they can run those algorithms with very high speed. And that means there can be new ways to benefit those old algorithms. The DHZ algorithm was very heavy in 1996. They could be run only on supercomputers. But now, at least. Part of those algorithms can be run on desktop computers. And that means researchers can run those antique programs more freely than in the 1990s.

Can AI make something that we cannot predict? That is the key question in security. When. We use algorithms. Those were written in 1996. Those algorithms were written for computers that are 30 years old. That means that when new, modern, high-power computers run those old algorithms. Those new computers can make new models of their operations. The algorithm. The algorithm. That the researchers put. In the ultimate test. Is written to calculate the shortest route between two points. This algorithm is necessary in certain cases.

“Navigation apps usually solve one route at a time, such as finding the fastest way from a hotel to an airport. Computer scientists face a far larger version of that challenge: calculating the shortest distance between every possible pair of locations in a network.” (ScitechDaily, Computer Scientist Pushes a 1996 Algorithm Beyond Its Longstanding Limit)

“Known as the All-Pairs Shortest Paths (APSP) problem, this task applies to far more than road maps. A graph can represent computers connected by data links, stations joined by rail lines, proteins interacting inside a cell, or neurons communicating in the brain. The points are called vertices, and the connections between them are edges.” (ScitechDaily, Computer Scientist Pushes a 1996 Algorithm Beyond Its Longstanding Limit)

The car navigation system. It uses similar algorithms to map the shortest possible route between two objects. That. Data networks use. When they route information over complex networks. The computer networks are like streets and highways. They are very capable and fast things. But. The problem is that those systems have their limits. The router can operate only one data operation at a time. This is the reason. Data must pass through the router and the path. Between the server and client as fast as possible. When the data flows through the router. The router. Waits for the answer from the receiver.

The TCP/IP protocol confirms Data. Transmission success. By sending a checksum for each bit back to the sender. Before that happens. The router. Waits for the new order. This is why information must travel in a network as fast as possible.

There, the system must route information or merchandise over complicated networks. The problem is that. The All-Pairs Shortest Paths (APSP) system calculates the route from New York to Los Angeles. More. Easier than it calculates. The shortest possible route between people who live two kilometers apart. From each other in Los Angeles. The reason for that is this. The route between New York and Los Angeles. Requires fewer calculations than the route between two addresses in Los Angeles. When the system calculates the shortest route between cities. It. Must not be very accurate. The system can play with the shape of the cities. And. It must calculate routes between the city borders.

The system must not use very hardcore systems. But if the system must calculate the shortest route between addresses inside Los Angeles. It must calculate routes between complex street systems. And that is the case. The shortest route is not necessarily the fastest route. There can be one-way streets. And. Other things. The system must notice. If. We want to travel between two points. We need more data than just the shortest route. We want to know the shortest possible route. It is not always possible. To use the shortest possible route. The system must have precise information about rush hours.

But if we want to make things like robot cars. Those systems require a similar system. That air traffic control uses. The system can involve three layers.

Local area control. Approaching area control. And the wide or global area control. The local area control navigates and operates those vehicles in block-scale areas. The approaching. Or district area control. It can control district-scale traffic. And wide-area control can control county-scale traffic. Those systems must operate independently. But those systems require lots of data. And they need lots of computer power. When. The system controls traffic. Like. Self-driving cars. It. require the ability to handle multiple variables.

Can AI think like a human?

“Scientists have captured a two-dimensional crystal of magnetic skyrmions losing its ordered structure in real time. Credit: Stock” (ScitechDaily, New Findings Could Help Build Computers That Think More Like Your Brain)

Researchers create computers that think more like the brain. Those. Systems. They use little whirls that form field structures. Researchers used skyrmions. Small ring-shaped quantum lightning for that purpose. But that thing forms interesting ideas in my mind.

Skyrmions are whirls. They can interact with each other. Magnetic. Or liquid whirls. They can have interactions between separated whirls. Or. They can have internal interactions. Between whirl layers. Theoretically, things like electrolytic water can form those whirls.

Researchers used Skyrmions in that operation. But. Theoretically, the electrolytic water could create the bubbles or whirls. That could make the quantum dots. For. Making those structures.

“Such brain-inspired systems would not necessarily separate memory from computation as sharply as conventional computers do. Magnetic structures could instead respond collectively and process information through their changing patterns, an approach that may be useful for highly efficient computing.”

(ScitechDaily, New Findings Could Help Build Computers That Think More Like Your Brain)

“Before that potential can be realized, researchers need to understand how large groups of skyrmions organize, move, and lose their structure. Skyrmions often settle into repeating arrangements that resemble crystals, forming what scientists call a lattice.”

(ScitechDaily, New Findings Could Help Build Computers That Think More Like Your Brain)

But can AI really think like a human? Humans think logically, but we always follow society's rules. Those rules and conscience are things. That makes us think. Like we think. Things. Like. How we feel determines how we think. Our thinking is based on internal and external rules. And that makes us special.

But then AI can also think. If. We determine. AI’s ability. To collect and connect data. And. Then process it into a new order. But then the difference between humans and AI is this. The AI has no feelings. It has no conscience. So. The only thing that AI cares about is the mission. That its master gave. The AI bases its decisions only on facts. And another thing. AI uses probabilities and mathematical models for its decisions.

“These are two images of the skyrmion lattice, before and after it has melted. Credit: Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz” (ScitechDaily, New Findings Could Help Build Computers That Think More Like Your Brain). The system transfers information between those skyrmions.

In that system. Skyrmions act as data-processing quantum dots.  And that makes the lattice act like a microchip. The question is. Could. The DNA-controlled electrolytic fluid?  Create similar data points?

AI can mimic humans. It can say “that hurts” if you hit the robot. But the robots will not feel anything. Those reactions are programmed for AI. The AI uses algorithms to determine the machine’s reactions. The AI sees something. It notices that somebody is crying.

And then it can ask, “Is everything all right?” But those reactions are programmed in. It. The AI can say something else if the programmer decides those other responses are more practical. The fact is that. The AI doesn’t know what it says. It finds the match. Using databases. When. The system finds the match. Between the database and observation. The database. It determines how it reacts.

This means that the AI can react like a human. But it doesn’t think and feel like a human. The next question is always this. Can AI learn things that its programmers don’t know? The answer is “yes”. There is a possibility. That AI agents can start to develop each other. In some scenarios, so-called zombie AI can start to develop other AI agents. Zombie AI. It means an AI agent that is forgotten on the web. There is a possibility.

That the developer cuts the connection to that AI agent by removing the email or other connection. With AI. Even if the connection is lost.  Mission. And code remains. The AI is like a robot. It will not stop. Until. Somebody stops it.

And. Those agents. They can. Continue their work without humans even knowing about them. There is a so-called improved model for that thing. In that dystopian scenario, the killer robots continue their eternal fight even if their creators are already dead. The case. Where. The AI can be dangerous in data centers where only robots operate. If somebody goes into data centers without permission.

If. Orders that those robots must follow. In situations where intruders enter server rooms. Are not properly given. Robots might do something that we cannot expect. The robot is the physical AI. That makes them operate in the physical world.

Those robots might use force to stop that intruder. The fact is that. The programmer determines what the robot should do. When. It faces the intruder. That robot does what the programmer orders it to do. But then we can wake up. The robot has orders to stop those intruders. Requires orders: how it should do that action. If. The robot searches. For orders on the net. Something bad can happen. In the worst case, robots treat intruders as their enemies.

The service robots and their servers can start to act like ants. Those robots could start to defend their master control servers. Maybe those robots can search for tools. For making new microchips. Those robots. Could build new servers and new server rooms. They could collect raw materials from nature. They could create copies of robots. This kind. Of Von Neumann's system of self-replicating robots.

They can turn into a threat. To the entire human race. If. They are left as zombies. This means. The operators with access to those robots might lose their access codes. The robot will not stop if it's damaged. And. That means the robot continues its mission. Until. It loses its energy. This means that a robot that loses its feet continues its mission. Until. It gets an order to continue with another mission.

New quantum acoustic memories can make quantum computers more effective.

"Illustration of a silicon-vacancy center in a diamond crystal lattice. Credit: Doug Quade. The same tiny vibrations that carry quantum information across a chip could also keep that information from fading away."  (ScitechDaily, Harvard Scientists Use Tiny Sound Waves To Protect Quantum Information)

Quantum systems are very problematic tools. They are very sensitive to electromagnetic vibrations. This means. That researchers. Must find new ways to store information in quantum systems. Traditional quantum computers are hybrid systems. The binary computer controls the qubits. In. The quantum processors. And then that information is stored in the binary form. This makes those systems slow. If. The system can store information as qubits. That makes it faster.

New types of quantum memories can store information as acoustic waves. An acoustic wave is a molecular- or atomic-scale wave. Theoretically, we could also store information directly in sound waves. If. We could freeze those sound waves in their form.

It is possible. To store those sound waves on tape. This acoustic tape means the layer. That is, in the chamber, there is gas. When a sound wave travels over that tape. The system pushes gas very fast against that tape. If. That happens fast enough.

The pressure system can trap those sound or pressure waves on the layer. And then a laser could read the form of those atoms.

Today. Researchers are testing phonons as tools. That can protect quantum information. Using tiny sound waves. Sound waves can travel in a diamond carbon structure. That structure.

You see in the image above. Can turn diamonds into tiny LRAD devices. Those systems can aim sound waves with very high accuracy. And theoretically. If. Researchers could create quantum entanglement through that channel. But. Another possibility is to store information. Into. Acoustic qubits.

Harvard scientists dressed those qubits using acoustic fields. Or they created dressed states. The system creates superposition between fields. That surround silicon vacancy states.

“Because the protective field is mechanical, it can operate inside the same phononic cavities intended to connect stationary quantum nodes. Phonons could therefore serve two functions in one device: moving quantum information between qubits and shielding that information while it is stored.” (ScitechDaily, Harvard Scientists Use Tiny Sound Waves To Protect Quantum Information)

Eliza Cornell, Ph.D., describes it like that. Researchers solved two problems. Shew says that.

“We want the spin to have strong interaction with phonons, and we want the spin to have a long coherence time. Our paper demonstrates a method of extending the coherence time that is compatible with the silicon-vacancy center being in a cavity.” (ScitechDaily, Harvard Scientists Use Tiny Sound Waves To Protect Quantum Information)

“The technique extended the coherence time of the silicon-vacancy spin by roughly threefold, showing that continuous-wave mechanical noise suppression can protect quantum information in a real device. (ScitechDaily, Harvard Scientists Use Tiny Sound Waves To Protect Quantum Information)

“The researchers also achieved a Rabi frequency of 800 megahertz, enabling exceptionally fast control of the spin. Together, longer coherence and rapid operation could support high-fidelity quantum gates mediated by phonons, bringing compact on-chip quantum networks closer to practical use.” (ScitechDaily, Harvard Scientists Use Tiny Sound Waves To Protect Quantum Information)

The acoustic qubit can store an acoustic field around it. So those memories are actually phonons. Or they are phonons. Dressed with acoustic fields.

Interaction directly with phonons is difficult to control. A useful quantum memory must preserve coherence. This means. It must retain its quantum state long enough. It can store, process, and transmit information. Environmental noise can quickly destroy that state.

Noise from the environment. It destroys the qubit. Another big problem is: How to multiply oscillations? Between phonons?  In those systems, oscillations must be precisely multiplied.

In this case, those phonons can be in direct lines. And some laser or acoustic beam travels over them. And. That makes it possible to multiply those oscillations over those fields. The system must put those qubits in line. And then. Press. A quantum channel that allows them to transmit information directly between those qubits.

“A dressed qubit is described as “wearing” the continuous acoustic field surrounding it. This changes how the qubit responds to its environment, making it less vulnerable to low-frequency noise that would otherwise disrupt its stored information.” (ScitechDaily, Harvard Scientists Use Tiny Sound Waves To Protect Quantum Information)

When. Information is stored in acoustic form. Into silicon vacancy centers in those diamonds. In the most exciting model, those vacancy centers could be in the nanodiamonds. Those diamonds can form quantum channels in the quantum chip.

So, as is said in this text.

Silicon vacancy centers could store acoustic information. This technology allows researchers to build new types of quantum information storage. In that solution, the diamond’s carbon structure prevents those vacancy centers from delivering the wave motion.

When those vacancy centers get a signal. Silicon vacancy centers start to deliver the wave motion. They stored. During this process, silicon vacancy centers store acoustic waves in their structure. And then they deliver that wave motion when they get an impulse that triggers the information delivery. This type of mass memory can be a new way to store information in quantum systems.

They stored. Those diamonds can also be used. To create pressure. That makes wires superconducting. This is one way to create new, smaller quantum computers. And maybe someday. Those tools. They can turn into desktop models.

Space weapons are coming.

U.S. confirmed it has weapons in space. This is the next step in the arms race. Satellites play a big role in the modern military. That's why the military wants to affect them. GPS, communication, and reconnaissance satellites are high-value targets. And. Without those systems. intelligent warfare is impossible. The next point is that satellites disturb fire-control radars. ECM satellites are used in Iran. Those systems can disrupt drone swarms. And other data communications.

This is why every nation with space capacity develops ASAT systems. A system that threatens ECM and radar satellites can be a large version of anti-radiation missiles.

The anti-satellite weapons might not destroy targeted satellites. They can try to jam their signals. Or slam their systems down with an EMP pulse. In those cases, the weapon can use capacitor-based systems. That sends high-power microwaves or radio waves to targeted satellites.

"A Davy Crockett micro nuke at the Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland, 1961" (Wikipedia, Davy Crockett (nuclear device)

“A notional rendering of China's reusable Shenlong space plane. (Image credit: Erik Simonsen/Getty Images)” (Space.com)

The killer satellites' mission is to destroy other satellites. Or, they can be used to create high-power EMP signals using nuclear warheads. Requires a new type of reaction. The nuclear-based EMP is one of the most powerful weapons. There is a possibility that the satellite can drop nuclear weapons on targets. So-called. FOBS (Fractional Orbital Bombardment Systems). They can be miniature space shuttles. Those shuttles can hang in orbit and wait for orders to attack. In that case, those systems can be stealth shuttles that make kamikaze attacks against ground targets. There is suspicion that. The Chinese Shenlong miniature space shuttle can be a prototype for this kind of weapon.

If. An orbiting satellite carries a nuclear weapon. It requires very fast reactions. The same way. If. The hunter-killer satellite starts to follow a friendly satellite. That requires fast counteractions. The problem with killer satellites is simple. Any satellite can act as this type of weapon. Especially microsatellites can be tools. They can destroy other satellites with kinetic energy. The miniature satellite can collide with other satellites.

Or they can involve high-power EMP systems. One version of those tools is a micro nuke that detonates in an air tank. A 20-ton nuclear detonator can form a so-called controlled EMP pulse. Or they can involve high-power capacitors. That pushes lots of energy. To microwave- or radio-wave-based systems. Those satellites can wait in orbit.

Things like miniature shuttles that can wait in orbit to attack require counter-actions. Those shuttles can carry internal nuclear warheads. This makes them so-called super drones. Satellites can also drop drone swarms into operational areas. Those systems are dangerous to troops and civilians. This means that drone swarms that satellites can deliver can hunt individual people on the streets. That makes those tools excellent assassination tools. And those systems require fast reactions.

Memory manipulation can be a tool. That removes bad memories.

But who makes the decision? What are bad memories?

The ability to select memories. It is a new thing. For. Psychotherapy. But those things can be a topic for horror films. The person moves together with the humiliator. The idea is that those systems can make it possible to erase memories. That can connect medical staff members to crimes. There is always a possibility that somebody misuses that kind of technology.

Brains actively remove unwanted memories. And the system that removes those memories actually activates that process. Trauma treatment by removing bad memories. That is one of the things. That might revolutionize psychiatric treatment. This type of technology.  That allows erasing memories. Can help people with traumatic experiences. To restore themselves to normal life. In the wrong hands, this type of technology is also very dangerous.

This technology allows systems to delete and manipulate memories. These kinds of things allow people to handle PTSD and other conditions. There is a possibility. That. Some pervert uses that technology to satisfy their own ambitions. So. They can erase memories of their victims. Or. There is. There is a possibility that some black ops boss erases memories from henchmen so that they cannot tell anything.

The question in those technologies is simple. Who makes the selection? What is right and what is wrong memory? When some other person makes decisions. They have a tool. That gives them ultimate power. That power. It is based on the ability to control other people. The ability to erase memories can be interesting. But in the wrong hands. People who have that technology. To cover crimes. In some cases, that kind of technology can cause suspicion. That the. abductions involve something that nobody wants other people to hear.

Even if those abductions could be real. Maybe. Other humans are behind those cases. The key element in those cases is that people lost their memory. This means that somebody could deny their ability to store memories. The problem with active memory erasure is that. PTSD is the case. Their brains cannot create clear memories. That causes headaches and other symptoms. There is a possibility. That. The active memory eraser could cause these kinds of symptoms.

When we think about memory manipulation. It. Can be made by using nanoparticles. The operator puts nanoparticles in the victim’s body. Those nanoparticles touch the nervous system. Then radio impulses are transmitted into those nanoparticles. They can be injected into the targeted person. Or a person can eat them. The system sends a small UAV above the targeted person. It sends radio impulses to those particles and then to the target’s nervous system.

U.S. military searches for successors. To MQ-9 “Reaper” drones.

A "Wildfire" drone design (TWZ)

In the east and west. Stealthy long-range drone systems are under development. As. We saw. The MQ-9 “Reaper” cannot meet the requirements of the new battlefield. The slow, large drone is a good target for smaller kamikaze drones. The drone can save a pilot’s life. In case it is shot down. But the problem is that slow drones cannot reach their targets. This is why the new “Wildfire”-type fast, stealthy drones are replacing those old-fashioned drones. The stealth drone can operate with a nuclear warhead. It can be the new type of kamikaze drone. Those drones can carry nuclear warheads. They can attack enemy targets like cruise missiles. But if they are not needed.

Stealth drone.

The HQ can call those kamikaze drones back. Maybe those “zombie systems” can cruise in the atmosphere, and they might have aerial refueling capacity. This gives them almost unlimited operational capacity. The nuclear reactor could be more effective. But the problem is this. If. Those missiles are shot down. That system can deliver radioactive material. Over. The area. And in the most terrifying scenarios, the missile can deliver polonium through the nuclear reactor. That kind of atmospheric cruise missile can deliver highly radioactive Cobalt-60 along its route.

Drones that can sweep mines and cut the torpedonets can also carry internal explosives. Those drone systems can also operate as underwater sabotage and demolition tools. They can cut wires. Data cables and destroy or damage much larger submarines. The same systems that collect data from sea creatures without disturbing them can slip into military harbours.

Illustration of an autonomous underwater glider designed to explore deep-sea environments for climate data collection. Discover Geology Courses (RudeBaguette)

The drone systems are becoming more versatile. They can act as mine sweepers. And those drones can operate underwater at depths impossible for manned submarines. A drone that carries a torpedo on its back can try to surprise larger submarines from below. Those drones can slip into the harbours. And install detonators in those areas. Small-sized drones that travel near the bottom of the ocean are hard to detect. They can conduct reconnaissance and intelligence missions near the coastline. They can act like underwater reconnaissance satellites. They can collect all types of reconnaissance data. Drones can travel to the coastline underwater. And then rise into the air.

"A stock picture of a Dive-LD uncrewed underwater vehicle. Anduril" (TWZ)

Next-generation submarines and surface ships are part of a network of manned and unmanned systems. In those scenarios, drones protect manned systems. They operate in the middle. Of drone swarms. Small drones can prepare their targets for attacks. A sea drone can be a radio- or AI-controlled speedboat or even a canoe armed with a heavy bazooka. Or they can carry anti-radiation missiles that can damage communication and radar systems. Those unmanned drones can damage larger warships. That decreases their combat ability. They can damage vital systems just before missile attacks.

The first combat between surface sea drones took place in the war in Ukraine. So, here history repeats itself. In the First World War, the first air combat in history happened in Ukrainian skies. And now. The first sea drone combat. Between remote-controlled units. In black Sea. The big fact is that those small drones require something. To support them. Their limits are their limited fuel capacity. Autonomous systems require mobile data centers. And maybe the new “battleships” and submarines carry supercomputers that those drones require.

Code returns dramatically changed.

The Houthi rebels are a new version of rebels. They have ballistic missiles. And. Sophisticated drones. This is the growing trend in the military world. And there is suspicion that people like drug cartels can plan to use drones and maybe even space rockets to transport drugs to their customers. Those actors can also use those systems as weapons.

Maybe. We will see street gangs with drones and missiles quite soon. Drones are very good tools for area surveillance. Street gangs can use them to observe their areas. Drug dealers can use drones to warn them about police. They can also equip drones with shotguns and pistols or explosives.

Hostile actors can use AI for at least the following things.

1) Weapon development.

1B) Guidance system development.

1C) Aerodynamic simulations.

1D) Engine operation simulations.

1E) Calculations of fuel usage for drone operations.

2) Targeting

2B) Analyze target data for weaknesses in their defense. The AI can search for gates. That are badly guarded.

2C) Install malware on targeted computers. To shut down alarm systems. This kind of malware can open a route for attackers to military bases. It can also affect nuclear security. There is also a possibility. The malware can shut down aircraft carrier defense.

Or on a larger scale. The malware. It can shut down even strategic nuclear forces. The malware can destroy the codes in databases that are needed for a nuclear attack. It’s possible to restore those databases. But if that happens just before the nuclear attack. Time is needed for that restoration. And in a real situation, there are only a couple of minutes to react. Is this possible? That depends on how safe those systems are. And at this point. We must understand that. Any system in the world involves weaknesses.

3) Intelligence

4)Trajectory calculations

5) Search for secondary equipment like computers, medical supplies, and other things like camouflage suits.

Resistants who fight against the USA use Claude AI to target American targets. This is an example of an advance in the world. The hostile actor can use the AI against the nation that hosts it. The fact is that nobody knows what other AI’s are used for drone targeting or cyberattacks. When we think about the hostile use of commercial AIs, we must realize that almost anybody can establish a company in the USA and access those tools. The problem is that the actors who establish the company can be U.S.-born U.S. citizens. And they might not have any visible connections with people like radical Islamists or the FSB.

The actor. Whom authorities see in front of them. During the company establishment process. Can act for money. They can be drug dealers, and people like drug cartels can introduce them to Iranian intelligence directly. Or they can introduce them to some other hostile intelligence. Then they have to open a VPN connection to Tehran. This means Iranian intelligence and Houthi rebels can use the U.S.-based servers to coordinate their attacks against U.S. warships and other ships.

List of things where Claude was used.

Maybe. Those actors use ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, and Google Gemini for their operations. This is the new trend in military and intelligence. Whoever leads the AI wins the game. When we talk about limits for those systems. We forget that some of them are even more dangerous than we expect. China is pushing billions for AI development. The same way North Korea and Iran realized those systems’ potential.

Those actors can use Western AIs to develop their own LLMs. And that is the thing that we must understand.

When a cyber spy sits in Tehran, Beijing, or Pyongyang, that person is always under control. Those operators can remotely control drones from their offices. In this case, local actors prepare drones for the operation. They must establish a data connection to those offices. Then those remote operators can start their actions. When. Those people sit in their offices in those countries. They aren’t exposed to dangerous Western ideology. They don’t get information. Their leaders want to hide.

Those cyber spies need only a native citizen. Who establishes a company in some Western city. Then they need to establish a VPN connection to their servers. That connection allows Chinese (or other) actors to operate on Western servers and AIs.  China might want to entice Western scientists and engineers to do their work on Chinese AIs and servers. This leaks their work to the Chinese military.
